Man shot dead by unknown assailants in Nkwanta South

A man has been shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Odomi, a farming community in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region.

Mrs. Juliana Awasan, the Assembly Member for the Keri Electoral Area, confirmed the incident, noting that the military and police were immediately informed and swiftly moved in to retrieve the body.

Community sources revealed that the victim was ambushed and shot while harvesting yams on his farm.

The attack has raised fresh security concerns in Odomi, with residents expressing fear for their safety. Authorities have launched investigations to establish the motive behind the killing and to track down the perpetrators.

Security agencies have assured the public that efforts are underway to restore calm and bring those responsible to justice.
