Medeama Sporting Club, reigning champions of the Ghana Premier League, demonstrated their respect by making a courtesy visit to the Manhyia Palace to honor the esteemed Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Wednesday.
This visit holds significance as part of the Yellow and Mauves' preparations for their upcoming 2023/24 CAF Champions League encounter against Algerian side CR Belouizdad.
The pivotal match is set to unfold on Friday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, marking Medeama's second Group D fixture in their inaugural campaign in Africa's premier club competition.
Expressing their gratitude, the club shared on social media, "Medeama SC is honored to extend a courtesy visit to Manhyia Palace, paying respects to the esteemed Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
This visit precedes our crucial CAF competitions this Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi."
In their initial group game, Medeama faced a formidable challenge, succumbing to a 3-0 defeat against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League.
