Ghanaian prodigy and rising star, Abdul Aziz Issah has set sights on becoming a regular player, getting more minutes for parent club Dreams FC after the Ghana under-20 national team star failed to secure a permanent move to Barcelona.

The 19-year-old, who had an unclear loan spell at Barcelona B, is currently back at his parent club Dreams FC but is expected to seal a move away this transfer window.

Despite amassing just 26 minutes of game time during his season-long loan stint in Spain, he was one of the brightest stars for Ghana during the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt where he clinched 2 MVP awards in the tournament.

Aziz Issah is now looking to capitalize on his senior debut, after he was called up by Black Stars head coach Otto Addo for the Unity Cup in May, where he came on as a substitute for goal scorer Lawrence Agyekum in the third-place playoff game against Trinidad and Tobago when Ghana won 4-0 to clinch the 3rd place spot.

He is looking to avail himself properly as he takes advantage of the recent senior national team callup going forward.

“After this debut, I think it is time to stay focused. It is time to get more playing time and more games at my club level, and I think everything will be fine if I do well with my team,” Aziz Issah told Ghana Football Association media.

"I feel very good; it’s a dream come true. Every player in Ghana wants to play for the Black Stars," Aziz said. "Playing for the senior national team from the U-20 level is a great achievement. I feel very proud and very happy for that."

"It was full of excitement when the coach told me I would be coming on. Even though I was nervous, I was happy for the opportunity. I wanted to do well and prove myself."

Aziz believes that consistent performances at club level will amplify his chances and open more doors internationally as he will be getting extra exposure in his stride with the Ghana Premier League outfit.

His recent debut for the Black Stars in the friendly against Trinidad and Tobago has boosted his profile and confidence.
