Corinthians forward and former Manchester United player Memphis Depay has found himself at the center of a media storm in Brazil after local influencer Lary Simoes alleged that she is pregnant with his child and accused the Dutch international of cutting off all contact since she informed him of the news.

According to Brazilian entertainment journalist Fábia Oliveira, Simoes — a beauty and lifestyle influencer with over 42,000 Instagram followers — discovered she was pregnant about a month ago. She reportedly claimed that the Corinthians star has ignored her entirely since learning of the pregnancy.

“It’s true, he’s ignoring everything. Not a single lawyer has reached out to discuss anything on his behalf. There’s been no response, nothing,” Simoes allegedly said, according to Oliveira’s report.

Sources close to the influencer told Oliveira that Depay and Simoes began dating in February after meeting at a birthday party in São Paulo. The relationship reportedly soured when she revealed her pregnancy, prompting the Dutch forward to distance himself completely.

The report, which has since been picked up by multiple Brazilian media outlets, includes photos allegedly showing Depay and Lary Simoes together, along with a positive pregnancy test and a Corinthians jersey said to have been signed by the player.

Depay, 31, who joined Corinthians after spells with Manchester United, Lyon, and Atlético Madrid, has not publicly addressed the allegations. However, he posted a cryptic message on his social media accounts over the weekend, fueling speculation about the situation.

Earlier in October, Depay also made headlines after claiming his passport was stolen in Brazil, causing him to miss the start of international duty with the Netherlands, a situation that led manager Ronald Koeman to drop him from the starting lineup against Malta.

The Dutch forward — who has previously been linked to Spanish model Coral Gutiérrez — now faces intense public scrutiny as the paternity claims continue to dominate Brazilian tabloids.
