Residents of Breman-Benin in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District of the Central Region are reeling from horror after a man allegedly murdered and beheaded his 65-year-old aunt, Madam Abena Gladys, in a brutal family attack.

The suspect, identified as Kojo Sam, reportedly stormed his aunt’s room around 12:15 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025, armed with a pestle.

According to witnesses, he attacked her without provocation, striking her repeatedly before dragging her outside and decapitating her.

Sources close to the family disclosed that the suspect had previously threatened the victim’s life during disputes, but relatives opted to resolve the matter privately rather than report it to the police.
