Nico Williams pledges future to Athletic Club amid transfer rumours

Spanish-born Ghanaian winger Nico Williams has been a standout player this summer, turning heads with his outstanding performances in the 2024 European Championship, which led to transfer interest from top clubs, including Barcelona.

However, despite the mounting speculation, Williams has committed his future to Athletic Club, where he proudly took on the prestigious number 10 jersey.

At the premiere of the documentary "The Williams", Nico confidently addressed his decision.

"I’m very happy with the choice I’ve made. I have no regrets at all. I’m fully aware of my decision, and I’m excited and ready to give my all for the team," said Nico, the younger of the Williams brothers.

His older brother, Iñaki Williams, who also plays for Athletic Club, expressed his pride and support during the event. "I couldn’t be prouder of him.

We have a special moment coming up on Thursday as we prepare to play in Europe. It’s a shared dream for both of us," Iñaki said.
