Christian Kwabena Andrews also known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom presidential candidate of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), has condemned the long-standing dominance of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP), citing their failure to improve the lives of Ghanaians.

“Ghana is sitting on a time bomb,” Osofo Kyiri Abosom warned in an interview on GHOne TV with Lantam Papanko.

“If we continue to depend on NDC and NPP, they will destroy our country. They’re not in to build a country; the country is not in their hearts,” he said.

Osofo Kyiri Abosom also lashed out at the poor education system, infrastructure, and roads, emphasizing that leaders prioritize personal gain over national development.

He expressed frustration with the country’s reliance on foreign loans and outdated laws.

“The youth are just roaming about. The type of education they’re giving to us is very bad, and the infrastructure that they are giving out is poor. We cannot sit here for somebody in America to print his papers, make it dollars, and bring it to us to take it as a loan… Why can’t we decide that let’s give this one to you, you should bring this one to us?” he said.

Andrews pledged to strategize and remove old leaders with outdated ideas, promoting a better life for Ghanaians.

“We need to change this situation so the youth can develop our country. If we depend on people with a cake mindset, they won’t be able to help us,” he said.

The Ghana Union Movement, founded by Andrews in 2019, aims to break the NDC-NPP duopoly that has dominated Ghana’s politics since the Fourth Republic.

Andrews’ vision focuses on massive industrialization, youth empowerment, and revisiting Kwame Nkrumah’s developmental agenda.
