Nsoatreman FC's Eric Alagidede expresses disappointment after Hearts of Oak draw
26th November 2024
Nsoatreman FC General Manager, Eric Alagidede, has admitted that his side underperformed in their 1-1 draw against Hearts of Oak on Saturday, falling short of the high standards they had set for themselves.
The Ghana Premier League matchday 12 encounter at the University of Ghana Stadium saw Stephen Diyou open the scoring early for Nsoatreman before Salim Adams equalized in the 16th minute with a well-taken strike.
Reflecting on the game, Alagidede voiced his frustration at missed opportunities, especially in the opening stages.
"I’m very disappointed because in the very early minutes of the game, we should have scored, and the chances were there for everybody to see," he remarked.
Despite the disappointment, Alagidede acknowledged the tactical approach of head coach Yaw Preko, which he felt was effective.
"At least we came in with the strategy working for us. We had the game under control," he added.
The draw extends Nsoatreman's winless run to five matches, comprising three draws and two losses.
The team will look to turn their fortunes around when they face Dreams FC on December 13.
