Popular TikTok personality Peller has broken his silence following his arrest and detention by the Lagos State Police Command over an incident involving dangerous driving and an alleged suicide attempt.

In a video shared on social media, Peller expressed remorse over his actions and appealed to the public for forgiveness. “I am sorry, Nigerians. Please, I’m sorry. I will never do that again. I’m very sorry, please. For now, I am on medication. Once I am done with my medication, I will be online,” he said. The controversy reportedly follows his recent split from his girlfriend, Jarvis.

Jarvis had previously confirmed the end of their relationship, citing Peller’s difficulty with emotional control as a key reason for her decision to part ways.

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed Peller’s arrest, stating that his actions were considered a deliberate attempt at self-harm and a serious threat to other road users. Police reports indicate that the incident occurred on Sunday, December 14, 2025, when Peller allegedly drove dangerously while livestreaming on social media, causing a serious accident on the Lekki–Epe Expressway in Lagos.

Authorities added that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation, and Peller will be arraigned in court once inquiries are completed.

Reacting to the incident, Commissioner of Police Olohundare Jimoh warned social media influencers and digital content creators against promoting or engaging in reckless behaviour online, emphasizing that such acts will attract firm consequences.
