Samuel Chukwueze: Nigeria winger eyes success with AC Milan despite rumours of him leaving

Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze asserts that he wants to stay at AC Milan, fight for his place and win honors despite rumours of him being linked to a move away from Italian giants.
Chukwueze joined AC Milan from Villarreal with high hopes, but has struggled to cement a regular spot in the starting line up of the Rossoneris. He managed 26 matches in the just concluded Serie A season where he scored three(3) goals and provided two(2) assists.
Since the start of this year, he has only featured for 180 minutes in total. With Massimiliano Allegri replacing Conceicao as manager, there are reports that Milan may offload Chukwueze to make room for new signings as he is deemed “surplus to requirements.”
In an interview with Modo Victor, Chukwueze remains positive and optimistic about a possible stay and eventual success at the Italian giants. “Milan’s supporters are among the best in the world. They truly deserve more than we gave them last season,” he said.
“They support us in the rain and cold, sing loudly, and always back the team. Sadly, we disappointed them this year, but I hope next season will be better – with success in the league, the Coppa Italia, and a return to the Champions League.”
There are reports and speculations linking the 26-year-old Nigerian to other European clubs like Fulham and his former club, Villarreal, having struggled to remain a regular starter under three different managers, Stefano Pioli, Conceicao, and Paulo Fonseca.
A move back to Villarreal could offer him ample opportunities on the pitch, especially as they will feature in the UEFA Champions League.
