Ghanaian attacker Samuel Owusu opened his goal account for OFK Beograd in a thrilling 3-2 win over FK Partizan Belgrade in the Serbian Super Liga.
The match, played at Stadion Omladinski, saw OFK maintain their strong form in the league.
Partizan Belgrade took the lead early, with Aleksandar Filipovic finding the net in the 15th minute.
However, Owusu quickly responded for OFK, scoring just three minutes later to bring the home side level.
His equalizer gave OFK a much-needed boost and set the tone for an exciting contest.
Despite Owusu’s effort, Partizan regained the lead before halftime when former Ghana U20 captain Zubairu Ibrahim scored in the 40th minute, putting the visitors ahead once again.
The second half saw OFK fight back with determination. Serbian midfielder Aleksandar Palocevic equalized late in the game, and Filip Stojilkovic completed the comeback with a decisive goal, securing a well-deserved victory for OFK Beograd.
With this win, OFK moved up to third place in the league standings, amassing 16 points from eight matches.
Owusu's performance, including his first goal for the club, was key to the team's success. Since joining OFK on a free transfer this summer, Owusu has made four league appearances, contributing one goal and one assist.
Ghanaian internationals Ebenezer Annan and Edmund Addo also featured for OFK, playing the full 90 minutes, further contributing to the team's rise in the Serbian top flight.
