Son of former Okwahu United player signs for KV Mechelen

Dirk Junior Asare has signed his first professional contract for Belgium outfit KV Mechelen after trials with the side.
The 15 year old academy product is the son of former Ghana youth International and Okwahu United midfielder Emmanuel Nana Asare.
He penned his first professional contract for the side which last until the summer of 2022.
Dirk Junior Asare was in demand but spurned several overtures from PSV Eindhoven and other Dutch clubs to sign for KV Mechelen.
The youngster is in no way related to former KV Mechelen defender Nana Kwasi Asare who now plies his trade with KAA Gent.
