New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Efutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has advised his fellow NPP MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, to take any evidence he claims to have against investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, regarding the murder of the late J.B Danquah-Adu to court.

According to the renowned lawyer, who is a close friend of Mr Agyapong, the issue of the alleged murder of the late NPP MP is a matter of speculation which should follow the right channels if there is any evidence to prove it.

Tough-talking politician and businessman, Kennedy Agyapong has launched an all-out attack against ace investigative journalist,Anas Aremeyaw Anas, calling his investigative journalism on a yet-to-be-released explosive investigative documentary on alleged corruption at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) unethical.

In one of his many attacks against Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team, Mr Agyapong sought to suggest that there is more than meets the eye in the existing friendship between Anas and the wife of late MP for Abuakwa North, J.B. Danquah-Adu.

Mr Agyapong has been quoted as saying: “If he dares me, I will ask him if he knows Ivy, J.B’s wife, and for how long…I will show him pictures from UK and Dubai…I am challenging Anas…”

Reacting to the accusations on MultiTV current affairs programme, Newsfile, on Saturday, Mr. Afenyo Markin challenged Ken Agyapong to take the matter to court if he indeed has evidence to his claims.

He stated; “The issue of Hon. Ken Agyapong being alleged to have said that Anas is linked to the death of J.B Danquah, with the greatest respect, is a matter of speculation because, I have listened to him,”

Describing Mr Agyapong's statement as “unfortunate,” he added that, “J.B Danquah deserves respect even as he is resting in peace.”

He said, if Mr Agyapong has evidence to link Anas to the death of the MP, then he must do the proper thing and go to the police, not fight the investigative journalist in the media.

“Whoever has evidence would have to follow the appropriate procedure and use the right forum to prove that. That one, no doubt but it is unfortunate,” he told the Newsfile panel.

J.B Danquah-Adu was stabbed to death in a bizarre manner on the night of Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at his Shiashie residence in Accra.

The prime suspect, Daniel Asiedu, was arrested two days after the incident.

Daniel's accomplice was picked several weeks later.
