UEFA Super Cup: Partey expected to get the nod in Madrid derby tonight

Ghanaian international Thomas Partey is expected to be in the starting line-up for Atletico Madrid when they face city rivals Real Madrid in the Uefa Super Cup in Estonia tonight.

Manager Diego Simeone is reportedly flirting with the idea of either Partey or summer recruit Rodri in midfield to partner Saul and Koke.

Rodri has fair chance of being picked after enjoying a great preseason since signing from  Villarreal.

The Argentine gaffer however prefers the Ghanaian who is more accustomed to his system.

New Atletico signings Thomas Lemar, Nikola Kalinic, Gelson Martins and Santiago Arias have all travelled to Estonia.
