A group of clergymen has urged Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the NPP in the just ended Presidential election, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, not to be discouraged by the outcome of the 2024 elections.

The Pastors, representing different Christian denominations, called on Dr. Bawumia on Wednesday December 24, 2024, at his residence, to encourage him, following the elections.

Speaking on behalf of the Pastors, Apostle George Apasera said Dr. Bawumia evidently did his best to win the elections, but the outcome was the "sovereign will of God," adding that the outcome "is not the end of the road.

"You embarked on this journey with a very good note. You had all the support, especially those of us on the Christian divide, represented by the Clergy, we stood swith you in good faith and you conducted yourself very well to our admiration. All that you said resonated very well with a lot of us," said Apostle George Apasera, who spoke on behalf of the Pastors.

"It is unfortunate that the ultimate did not fall on your side but you have really done your best and we come to congratulate you for that. We say God bless you and God will watch over your life and guide you. This is not the end of the road. You are still a young man and there is still a lot ahead of you."

The Pastors also commended Dr. Bawumia for his" political maturity" with his early concession, adding that it's timeliness saved the nation from tension.

"We are also very grateful the way you came out to concede defeat very early. It calmed a lot of tension. Than you," the Pastors said.

"You really exhibited maturity which all of us do admire. In fact all of is at our various places we're wondering how you would feel . We were all concerned but we were praying that the Lord would strengthen you. After that we have seen you OK a number of occasions and you are still beaming with your usual smile and you're still looking energetic and strong. With your dear wife beaming with her beautiful smiles. We are sure that you have really exhibited a lot of maturity politically. May God bless you and your family."

The Pastors assured Dr. Bawumia they would continue to remember him in prayers regularly.
