Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo says that his side may just require just a draw in their last group game against Uruguay.

The grudge match between the two sides will stir up a lot of emotions later this afternoon but a lot is at stake for the two sides.

Ghana will need a draw to qualify if Portugal avoids a defeat in their game against Korea which will be played simultaneously.

In South Africa 12 years ago, Uruguay reached the semi-finals after ousting Ghana on penalties.

Uruguay forward Luis Suarez deliberately handled the ball on the goalline deep into extra time to prevent a certain goal, with Asamoah Gyan then missing the subsequent spot-kick.

Despite Suarez's dismissal, Uruguay made the Africans pay in the shootout. Both are sides are bidding to join Portugal in the last 16 from Group H, with South Korea also still in the hunt.

Speaking ahead of the game, Ghana coach Otto Addo says that his side will not settle for a draw but will go for a win against the South Americans.

“The good thing is that, at the end if it’s a draw it is also good for us but we want to win this game,” he told the GFA Media.

“I’m not thinking too much about revege because, for me, it’s just a normal game. Surely I was really sad when I watched the scene in 2010.

“It was a big chance for Ghana to proceed to the next stage but it happened 12 years ago.”

The game will kick off at 15;00GMT.
