Ghanaian midfielder Abu Francis marked his comeback for Cercle Brugge with a crucial appearance in their victory against KAS Eupen in the Belgium league.

Francis, who had been sidelined since August due to a severe injury sustained in a match against Standard Liege, returned to action as a substitute in Cercle Brugge's 2-0 away triumph. Coming on for Van der Bruggen, Francis played a pivotal role in securing the victory.

The graduate of the Right to Dream Academy endured a six-month absence from competitive football, but his return provides a significant boost to Cercle Brugge, especially as they currently find themselves in the playoff zone after the recent win.

Togolese forward Kevin Denkey played a starring role in the victory, netting two goals within a three-minute span to secure all three points for Cercle Brugge.

Francis, who started the season impressively before his injury setback, aims to quickly regain his place in the starting eleven.

Prior to his injury, he had made five league appearances in the current campaign.

The Ghanaian midfielder joined Cercle Brugge from Danish club FC Nordsjaelland, initially on loan, and had showcased his talent before his unfortunate injury.

His return to fitness is a welcome sight for both the player and the club as they look to maintain their momentum in the league.
