Kumasi Asante Kotoko has announced that they have filed an official complaint against match officials who handled their match day three clash against Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

The club did not state the actual reasons why they have filed the complaint but it may be due to the numerous penalty shouts they believed should have gone their way and the Hearts equalizer which video footage has shown was offside.

"The club after a careful study of yesterday’s game footage has filed a Complaint with the GFA against the decisions of the officiating officials." the club wrote on their Twitter handle

Asante Kotoko after their CAF Champions League elimination against RC Kadiogo needed to appease their supporters with a morale-boosting win but they were held by Hearts of Oak.

The reds were very dominant in the first half and should have been out of sight but Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala and Isaac Oppong wasted decent chances with the Ugandan the worst culprit.

Kotoko took the lead after Yussif Mubarik turned home a rebound from a free kick in the 57th minute before Hearts stole a draw at the death with a header from Caleb Amankwaah in the 87th minute.

Most Kotoko fans were aggrieved that fouls on Mukwala and Isaac Oppong in the penalty box went unpunished by center referee Selorm Yao Bless.
