Former Ghana Football Association(GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi says that his  job as GFA boss was interfered with by the government of Ghana at some point.

The former FIFA council member was GFA boss from 2005-2018 before his reign was abruptly ended by a documentary by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

"I have had particular issues of what I will call an interference.. there are two of them and because they are well known in the media I will mention them.

In 2011 I was nominated as the candidate of the executive committee to contest the election on the CAF Executive Committee we all know there was a letter from  the government nominating a different candidate." he told GTV Sports Plus

"And when we came back from the 2010 World Cup, the GFA premises was besieged, ransacked or overwhelmed by officials of EOCO and we took the matter to the high court and the high court decaled that it was illegal and cost of GHC50,000 was awarded against the state.

I though it was illegal because the government could have engaged the GFA without any kitikiti.." he said.
