Many young European stars could have perhaps been representing African countries at the highest level, despite growing up in Europe. Here are 10 exciting talents who all have African blood running through their veins.

Borussia Dortmund starlet Alexander Isak, 18, has parents who are both from African country Eritrea. The young forward has already represented Sweden on two occasions, and has been tipped to have a successful career in Europe.

His club team-mate Dan-Axel Zagadou, also 18, was born in France, but could still play for Ivory Coast. The centre-back has represented France's youth sides at all ages, though, which indicates he might see himself representing Les Bleus' senior side one day.

France international Kylian Mbappe has Cameroonian heritage, while Germany star Leroy Sane is of Senegalese descent, and Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans has Congolese blood.

Another Congolese starlet is Paris Saint-Germain and France's 22-year-old defender Presnel Kimpembe, while Nice defender Malang Sarr, 19, has Senegalese blood.

Another young French talent, Moussa Dembele, is included as he comes from a family of Malian descent.

England starlet Ryan Sessegnon, who has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City, has Beninese heritage.

The 17-year-old was recently ranked as one of the top 100 teenagers in world football and has been compared to players such as Ashley Cole and Bayern Munich's David Alaba.

Lyon midfielder Maxime Lopez (20) has represented France at youth level and seems likely to choose the French national team over Algeria in the future.
