Kumasi Asante Kotoko may have to do in Nigeria without two key players after their registration process failed to go through at Caf.

Midfielders Augustine Okrah and Jordan Opoku who were part of the initial 23 man squad were left out as they are ineligible to play for the porcupine warriors against Kano Pillars as their registration was not completed.

The Players who were not part of the 18 man traveling party may have to bide their time as they cannot play for at least the preliminary round.

According to the Greater Accra Regional Circles chairman, Nana Kwame Danquah who also doubles as a management member , the porcupine warriors did everything right on their part and the anomaly may be from the end of African football governing body Caf.

In an interview on Kumasi based light Fm, the management member poured out his frustration insisting they did everything right.

"We registered 30 players with the exclusion of Kwame Bonsu's transfer making it 29, but when CAF brought the papers to us, it was 27 players who have been approved for the game against Kano Pillars.
As to the reasons behind it, we are yet to know. These situations often happen to clubs participating in their club competitions so we are hoping they can be registered to participate in our subsequent matches." he stressed
