As the norm, Google has released the list for the most Googled people in Ghana on top trending subjects for the year 2017.

Accoding to google 10 people who made the list from Ghana include, President Nana Akufo Addo, Ebony, Afia Schwarzeneggar, Major Mahama, Yahya Jammeh, Medikal, Bukom Banku, Chris Opoku, Runtown and KABA.

Afia Schwarzenegger

Controversial comedienne, Radio and TV host Afia Schwarzeneggar is no surprise name on the list. Afia has had a dramatic year after videos of her in bed with another man went viral after it was leaked on line by her husband. Afia also made headlines even in Nigeria after she slammed Nigerian cross dresser, Bobrisky, via social media.

Ebony

Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng better known in showbiz as Ebony has made the headlines in Ghana all year round for all the right and wrong reasons. From having back to back hit singles to her controversial choice of outfits, Ebony has sparked debates more than any other musician has done this year. The 90’s bad girl as she loves to be called has had screams of  VGMA Artiste Of The Year staring at her.

Medikal

Rapper Medikal has also had his fair share of the limelight this year especially after he was unable to grab any award after being nominated 8 times at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). He also made the news when his relationship with TV host, Deborah Vanessa became public.

Kaba

The sudden demise of the renowned radio presenter last month shocked the nation. Prior to his sudden death, he was the host of the popular political talk show, Eko si Sen, on Asempa FM.

Yahya Jammeh

The former Gambian president was the main topic in Africa after he refused to step down as president even though he lost the general elections.

Nana Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo won the 2016 general elections in Ghana after he failed to make the highest office of the land after 2 attempts. His win was declared historical as it was the first time an incumbent president was unseated in an election in the history of the country.

Major Mahama

Runtown

Runtown is the only non-Ghanaian to make it into this list. His hit song ‘Mad Over You’ became one of the most played songs in Ghana early this year. He later collaborated with Ghana's rap superstar, Sarkodie, to produce another hit single titled, Pain Killer.
