FC Basel right-back Omar Gaber says he is fit to play for Egypt against in Sunday's second Group E 2018 World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

The 24-year-old was substituted against Paris Saint Germain in the UEFA Champions League last Tuesday after picking up an injury.

As result, Gaber was an unused substitute in their 2-1 win over FC Lausanne Sport on Saturday.

But the former Zamalek player confirmed he has recovered and ready for a starting role against the Black Stars.

''I played five matches out of my club's [FC Basel] last six. I came off injured against Paris Saint-Germain but the medical staff told me that I'm fit to play and now I'm ready for Ghana,'' Gaber told ON Sport.

Leaders Egypt will host Ghana at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
