The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has urged Ghanaians to avoid repeating the mistakes of the 2016 and 2020 elections by voting out the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Addressing a mini rally at the Nsawam Adoagyiri lorry station, Mahama called on Ghanaians to use the upcoming elections as an opportunity to transform the nation’s struggling fortunes by voting for the NDC.
Launching his five-day tour of the Eastern Region on Monday, November 18, the former President observed that many NPP supporters are disillusioned with the party’s leadership and have become disengaged ahead of the elections.
He encouraged them to consider the NDC as a viable alternative, emphasizing the need for a change in governance.
“In 2016, we made a wrong choice; in 2020, we repeated that choice. But I believe that on December 7, 2024, we will correct the mistakes we made and restore the NDC to power,” he stated.
“Everyone desires a good life and development. Our choices have consequences: if we vote wisely, we will enjoy freedom and progress; if we don’t, hardships will persist. December 7 is another chance to right the wrong by voting for the NDC,” Mahama added.
