MAGNITOGORSK (Sputnik) - Another body was recovered from the debris of a residential building that collapsed in the Russian city of Magnitogorsk, bringing the death toll to eight, the Russian Emergencies Ministry told Sputnik Tuesday.

There are no children among the eight people who were killed by a gas explosion and subsequent building collapse in the Russian city of Magnitogorsk, the press service of the governor of the Chelyabinsk region said on Tuesday.

"As for 7:00 a.m. [Moscow time, 04:00 GMT], since the start of the search and rescue operation 12 people were recovered from the debris, with seven of them having died (no children) and five rescued (including a child)," the press service said.
Earlier in the day, the ministry reported about seven victims.
A natural gas blast hit on Monday one of the blocks of a 10-storey building in Magnitogorsk, the Chelyabinsk Region, damaging 48 apartments. The fate of dozens of people remains unknown.Source: sputniknews.com
