The Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaben Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon Ama Pomaa Boateng, has donated items worth millions of Ghana cedis to her constituents.

Her donation comes in the wake of a request made by the people.

The items donated include 3 hospital beds, 528 pairs of shoes for school children, 2 microscope for hospital laboratories, 100 bags of cement, 10 packs of roofing sheets, 8 street bulbs, mechanize boreholes and a cash donation of USD $1000.

Hon Ama Pomaa who doubles as the Deputy Chairperson for Gender, Children and Women Empowerment Committee for ECOWAS Parliament, used the occasion to advised the authority in the constituency to let development be their top most priority to help the citizenry enjoy a good standard of living.

She said “as citizens we need to think about the progress of our community rather than our personal gains”.

She further promised to be an agent of development to the people in her constituency.

Hon. Ama Pomaa on a brief statement urged the leaders of the community to take good care of the items and use them for their intended purpose. She urged the school children to take their studies seriously and make good use of their time.

At Esaase, the Assembly Member for Esaase, Hon. Patrick Nti who received the money and the items on behalf of the chiefs and the people, thanked the MP for her kind gestures towards the community.

The people and chiefs of the various communities were very grateful for the donations made by Hon. Ama Pomaa and thanked her extremely. They used the opportunity to call on others to emulate.
