Member of Parliament(MP) for Ablekum Central Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Hon Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey, on Monday 9th December, 2019 presented 250 streetlights and 3000 energy saving bulbs to the Pro-NPP Assembly aspirants from all seven electoral areas in his constituency.

The purpose of the donation was to support their campaigns ahead of the December 17 District Assembly elections as well as to improve the security situation in the constituency.

Street lighting is an essential public service that provide a safer environment at night to residents and commuters.

Beside crime reduction, good lighting systems had the potential to eliminate night time crashes, aid Police protection and enhanced sense of personal security in rural communities.

The donation was made at a meeting organized by the MP.

The Greater Accra Regional Youth Organiser, Hon Moses Abor and the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Obom-Domeabra who were present at meeting also benefited from the MP's benevolence.

A cash amount of GHC1000 each was given to all the 7 aspirants to augment their campaign process.

Hon Nartey told the aspirants that he was determined to ensure that all their immediate needs were addressed to enable them win their respective seats.

The Ablekuma Central  constituency chairman of the NPP, Mr Frank Akwasi Debrah advised the Assembly aspirants to endeavour to interact regularly with the people to identify their socio-economic challenges.

The MP and his Constituency Executives assured the aspirants that they would do their part and continue to lobby for support to help them win so that they can also improve on development and enhance the socio-economic livelihoods of the people.

The feeding cost of the polling agents was promised to be taken care of by the MP as well.

Also present at the meeting was the Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the NPP, Mr Daniel Odarlai Parker.

The Aspirants together with the Unit Committee thanked the MP and his Constituency Executives for their commitment towards the holistic development of communities in the constituency.
