The Minister for Communications and the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ablekuma West constituency Ms Urusla Owusu Ekuful  handed over a refurbished office to the members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the constituency.

The MP while handing over the office to the Executives of the party in the constituency  noted that, it is to aid the members to upgrade their skills in the field of Information Communication Technology (ICT), as it has been attached with a WiFi and computers.

She said,  “We think the young people if they acquire these skills will be able to vie for contemporary jobs and it will make them more scalable in terms of mobility…that’s one thing we want to do because a lot of them are crying out for jobs.”

“We want this [office] as a training centre and all kinds of activities for our party people and that the young, the women organisers, all and sundry can all find things to do here.” she emphasized.

She further added that, the office is to become the place where members of the party will meet to discuss the problems it faces internally and to find solutions to the problems.

“We think it is a good rallying point for the NPP in the constituency,” she said.

Hon. Owusu said that, the gesture is also an act she can do to show how committed she is to the development of the party.

“That’s the least I can do for the party people in the constituency to position them to take advantage of the unfolding opportunities,” she said.

He further called on the executives of the party to maintain the office in the best of shape.

The Chairman of the party for the constituency added that, the structure will aid in holding a proper database for the constituency.
