The futures of AC Monza duo of Kevin Prince Boateng and Mario Balotelli are in huge doubt after they failed to secure promotion to the elite division in Italy.

Report are rife that the duo with Ghanaian roots will depart the ambitious club this summer.

But Chief Executive Officer of AC Monza, Adriano Galliani says a decision about the pair will be taking shortly following their failure to qualify to the Serie A.

AC Monza failed to secure promotion to the Serie A after they were beaten 3-2 on aggregate to Cittadella with the damage been done in the first leg as they lost 3-0 and won the reverse fixture 2-0 with Balloteli on target.

There has been widespread reports that the two veterans who are on high salaries and also contributed very little will be shown the exit at Monza but CEO Galliani has been coy about their futures.

According to the fromer Milan chief the board of the club will sit down soon to sort it out "we will decide calmly,” says Galliani.

Both players barely played as they were hindered by a lot of niggling injuries all season and may be let go.

The duo contributed 11 goals between them with Balloteli scoring six starting only five matches all season while Boateng scored 5 goals with 4 assists but barely played the entire 90 minutes in his 24 matches played.
