League Champions Accra Hearts of Oak will engage Ivorian giants Asec Mimosa in friendly ahead of their CAF Champions League clash against Guinean side CI Kamsar next month.

The game against the 1998 CAF Champions League Champions is one of two preparatory matces the Phobians have lined up before their 2021/22 CAF Champions League campaign.

Hearts of Oak has invited a lower Division side in Ghana and an Ivorian club. They will play their first pre-season friendly game against lower division side Elders FC at the Legon Park on Wednesday.

They will then face Asec Mimosa before playing CI Kamsar of Guinea in the preliminary stage of the 2021/22 CAF Champions League campaign.

Head coach Samuel Boadu will be hoping that his side overcome the test.

Hearts of Oak will face Kamsar on September 10 at the September 28 Sports Stadium in Conakry.

The return fixture has been billed for September 19 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The winner after the tie will face Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club for a place in the group stage of the competition.

The Phobians are returning into the CAF top-flight competition for the first time in 12 years and would want make a huge impact in this year's campaign having won it just ones in year 2000.
