Accra Lions earned their first victory of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season with a commanding 3-1 triumph over Nsoatreman FC on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Salman Faris Tahiru opened the scoring for the home side in the 10th minute, delivering a superb finish to give Accra Lions an early lead.

Just seven minutes later, Ezekiel Kwame Alladoh doubled their advantage, putting the Lions firmly in control.

Nsoatreman FC responded early in the second half, with Stephen Diyou pulling a goal back in the 48th minute to reduce the deficit.

However, Accra Lions regained their two-goal cushion when MVP Blessing Assuman Dankwah netted in the 67th minute, sealing the win for the hosts.

This marks Accra Lions' first victory of the season after enduring two consecutive defeats and a draw in their opening three fixtures.

Nsoatreman FC, coming off the disappointment of their exit from the 2024/25 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup, suffered their first league defeat of the season in this encounter.
