Accra Lions have announced the transfer of their attacker Evans Etti to lower tier Chinese side Heilongjiang Ice City FC on a short term contract which is due to expire in January 2022.

The player was integral as the newly promoted side secured promotion from the Division One League Zone three league last campaign.

The 20-year-old was key as he recorded a combined total of 20 goal contributions, scoring 10 and setting up his teammates 10 times.

Accra Lions Manager Ishmael Hamidu said: “Etti’s move to China is yet another proof that Accra Lions became a globally recognized brand. Nine players left us for Europe and four players to Asia in recent years.

We can proudly say that every player who performs well for Accra Lions gains worldwide recognition. We wish him all the best and every success in his future career.”

"Evans Etti joined China League One outfit Heilongjiang Ice City FC with immediate effect. The offensive allrounder had a large share in our success in the 2020/2021 season with 10 goals and 10 assists for the Division One League Zone Three Champions." the club announced.
