Former Ghanaian International, Nii Odartey Lamptey has disclosed that Adam Larsen Kwarasey habours regrets about choosing Ghana over Norway the land of his birth when he had the opportunity.

Kwarasey endured a difficult spell with the Black Stars after switching nationality to play for Ghana and according to Odartey Lamptey who has close family ties with the goalie he feels sad about that decision.

The Valarenga goalie made his debut for Ghana in 2011 despite playing for the Norway U-21 national team and went ahead to make 27 appearances including playing at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

“I know where Kwarasey came from and all that. If Kwarasey decides to open his mouth and tell you what he went through. He regrets playing for Ghana," Lamptey told Ahomka FM.

There were a lot of troubles with Adam Kwarasey in camp and how he was supposedly treated by the handlers of the national team to the extent that at some point he exiled himself from the Black Stars.

Ghana has in recent times been chasing after several European born players with Ghana decent but it has been a very difficult task thus far.
