Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has called on the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to acknowledge the current economic hardships in the country as they campaign for the December general elections.

Speaking at the launch of the NPP Ablekuma South Constituency election campaign, he said government must not pretend all is well in the country

“We must first acknowledge the hardships, ask for another chance for the NPP, and demonstrate that we’ve learned from our past errors”Mr. Agyapong stressed

The Assin Central MP underscored the need for government to render unqualified apology to Ghanaians.

“Let’s approach Ghanaians with humility, apologise, and admit our mistakes before asking for their vote. Ignoring the hardships Ghanaians are facing will make it impossible for them to accept our message” he stated.

Ken Agyapong also charged NPP supporters to unit for a resounding victory in the December 7 polls.

“We will all support Dr. Bawumia [NPP flagbearer] to win,”he added.
