Ghana Premier League side Aduana Stars have extended the contract of goalkeeper Joseph Addo ahead of the new season.

The goalkeeper's existing contract was due to expire at the end of the current campaign but the Ogya side have moved swiftly to agree a new deal.

Addo was linked with a move to moneybags Legon Cities during the transfer window but stayed put at the Dormaa based club.

The 28 year old shot stopper is believed to have signed a two year deal that will keep him at the Dormaa based side until at least the end of the 2022 season.

He joined Aduana Stars on a free transfer in 2015 after leaving Kumasi Asante Kotoko and has since established himself as the club's undisputed number one goalkeeper.

After spending five seasons at the club, the 28 year old former Black Stars B goalkeeper is among the longest serving players currently at the club who joined the elite division in 2009/2010 season.
