Aduana Stars secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Karela United at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, propelling them up the Ghana Premier League standings from 15th to 11th place.

Midfielder Gideon Boateng scored the decisive goal in the first half, giving Aduana a well-deserved lead.

Despite a spirited response from Karela United, with over 20 attempts to find an equalizer, Yaw Acheampong’s side held firm to claim the win.

Karela United, under coach Jimmy Cobblah, started the match brightly and looked threatening, particularly with a powerful strike by George Boateng just before halftime in the third minute of added time.

However, their efforts to capitalize on Aduana’s initial vulnerabilities fell short.

The second half saw Karela push forward with intensity, dominating possession and orchestrating promising plays through their determined midfield.

Yet, despite their efforts and relentless attacking runs, Karela failed to convert their chances as Aduana’s defense stood resilient, securing the victory for the home side.

With this win, Aduana Stars have gained some breathing room in the table, while Karela United will need to regroup and find solutions to convert their attacking prowess into points.
