AFC Wimbledon striker Kwesi Appiah has been recalled to the Ghana squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya, scheduled for Accra Sports Stadium on March 23.

The 28-year-old impressed many Ghanaians when he was surprisingly selected for the 2015 Afcon by former coach Avram Grant.

However, he was left out of the team since the second coming of Coach Kwesi Appiah in 2017, with the likes of Asamoah Gyan, Raphael Dwamena and Co. leading the attack.

But with qualification already secured for the tournament billed for Egypt mid-year, the Wimbledon forward has been handed another opportunity to make a case for himself.
