Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah has parted ways with Saudi Arabian side Al-Batin by mutual consent barely five months after joining.

The former Torino hard man lasted five months in the Gulf Region playing eight league matches before quitting.

Acquah signed a two year deal with an option to extend the deal upon satisfactory performance after departing Turkish Superlig side Yeni Malatyaspor in the summer.

His contract with the Turkish side expired on June 30,2021 and since then became a free agent before joining the Saudi side but has now left.

According to sources the former Sampdoria midfielder found life in the Gulf Region very difficult and struggled to adopt to life there.

He made 35 appearances for Yeni Malatyaspor across all competitions last season and scored three goals in the process.

The combative midfielder has in the past played for TSG Hoffenheim,Parma Calcio, US Palermo, FC Empoli, UC Sampdoria, Parma Primavera and Palermo Primavera.
