Traditional rulers in Akatsi have honoured Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his impactful contribution to the development of Ghana as Vice President.

Dr. Bawumia, who has been campaigning in the Volta Region since Sunday, visited Ave Havi, in the Akatsi North Constituency of the Volta Region on Tuesday.

Welcoming Dr. Bawumia, traditional rulers of the area praised him for his dedication and contribution to revolutionising public service in Ghana through digitalisation.

"We acknowledge his dedication to public service and his unwavering commitment to the country's progress is evident in his tireless efforts to drive economic growth, improve governance and enhance the overall well-being of Ghanaians," Torgbui Adogo Agbalekk, flanked by the Chiefs and queenmothers, said in a speech on behalf of the traditional rulers.

"Under his leadership, Ghana has witnessed significant strides in digitalisation, revolutionising public services and enhancing efficiency."

The Akatsi Chiefs symbolically decorated Dr. Bawumia with the customary green leaves around his neck, indicating their prayers and support for Dr. Bawumia's Presidential bid,

"Your Excellency we are grateful for your coming today and express our hope that the Supreme Being will keep protecting you and your team as we look forward to the possibility of your Presidency and wishing our next meeting would be at the Independence Square for your inauguration as the next President of the Republic of Ghana."

Vice President Bawumia expressed appreciation to the traditional rulers for the honour, support and prayers, which he said, he would never forget.
