President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has expressed his condolences to the families of those who perished in a plane crash Sunday.

The flight, Ethiopian Airlines 737 passenger jet, took off from Addis Ababa to Nairobi in Kenya but crashed shortly after taking off.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, I extend deep condolences and sympathies to the families of the deceased, and to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, the Government and people of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in these difficult times,” Akufo-Addo wrote.

“May the souls of the departed rest in peace,” he added.

The airline confirmed that all passengers and crew on board the flight perished. They also published the list of all Nationals on the flight.
