Special Aide of former President John Dramani Mahama, lawyer Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe, has described President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the new spokesperson of the Electoral Commission boss, Madam Jean Mensa.

According to him, the quick response from the President after the NDC Flagbearer, John Mahama cautioned the Electoral Commissioner Chairperson, Jean Mensa to make sure nothing goes wrong with the 2020 general election is surprising to note.

The flagbearer of the NDC, in an address to some Western Region Fisher folks who paid him a courtesy call, stated the EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa, and her outfit will be held responsible if the country is plunged into turmoil after the 2020 general elections.

“So if on December 7, 2020, we all go to our polling stations to vote and the machines fail or a lot of people don’t find their names and the election doesn’t go down well, then what are we going to do?" he asked.

But in a sharp response, President Akufo-Addo during a lecture at the 20th Anniversary of the Tertiary Students Confederacy of the New Patriotic Party (TESCON) at the Ho Technical University said, “I want to assure him that there will be no strife, there will be no conflict after the December 7 general elections.”

Reacting to this comment on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe wondered why President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has assumed a position as the Spokesperson of Jean Mensa, jumping to her defense.

“Is Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo the Spokesperson for Electoral Commission? We are talking about the conduct of Madam Jean Mensa and then you Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, intervenes to talk for Madam Jean Mensa,” he said.
