Outspoken actress, Bibi Bright has been appointed to the Creative Arts Council as Secretary by the Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture.

The leader of “Compassion For Change (C4C)”, who worked enormously well through health screening to win votes for the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party was named together with the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Executive Member, Mark Okraku Mantey and Gyankroma Akufo-Addo, daughter of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The Minister inaugurated the Council at a brief ceremony at the conference room of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in Accra Wednesday.

The three-member team, according to the Minister, would select the rest of the Council’s members and also set up the right framework for the council.

The Creative Art Council will help to strengthen institutional framework in conformity with copyright laws and contract, provision of appropriate legal regulatory framework for protecting intellectual property rights and facilitation of access to finance by stakeholders as some policy interventions to promote and develop creative arts.
