The Minority in Parliament has criticized the government’s approach to the removal of some heads of government institutions barely a few months into their administration.

According to the MP for Wa West,Joseph Yieleh Chireh ,the recent dismissals of some top executives is problematic and runs contrary to due process.

The Akufo-Addo-led government is still taking shape as the president is appointing new heads for the various organisations to serve in his administration.

Following this, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo continues his firing spree by relieving Chief Executive Officers (CEO) of several heads of Public Institutions and parastatal organizations in the country.

The Wa West, legislator, Yieleh Chireh making a contributions on the floor of parliament as part of the debate on the state of the nation address said the harsh removal of Chief Executives of governmental agencies and institutions smacks of administrative injustices.

“…We always insists that the Chief Executive is a member of the Board by virtue of his position. He’s not a mere member, he’s not a political appointee. These are skilled people who have risen through the ranks and have become Heads of these Institutions. We  should not create the impression that these people do not qualify at this stage and they should be hounded out. Some by the letters that were sent to them they were given less than 24 hrs to hand over. It is not right. That is where the whole idea is so unGhanaian and the people should have been allowed to hand over properly.
