Veteran Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah is thrilled to embark on a new journey with Walsall FC in League Two.

The Saddlers have announced the signing of the 36-year-old on a one-year deal, making him their sixth addition of the summer transfer window.

Adomah, renowned for his stints with Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest, joins Walsall after a successful tenure with Queens Park Rangers (QPR).

Over four seasons with QPR, he made a notable impact in the Championship and holds the record for the most appearances in the league, with 528 matches.

His career total stands impressively at 775 matches, including 129 appearances for QPR across all competitions, with 18 of those coming in the 2023/24 season.

Expressing his enthusiasm about joining Walsall, Adomah said, “Now that I’m officially a Saddler, I can’t wait to get started.

I began my professional journey in League Two at my local club Barnet nearly 16 years ago, so it's exciting to return to the league where it all started.”

Reflecting on his career achievements, Adomah added, “I’ve enjoyed significant success, including two promotions from the Championship with Aston Villa and Middlesbrough.

I hope to replicate that success with Walsall; that’s certainly the intention.”

With his wealth of experience, Adomah aims to contribute to the team and assist the younger players.

“It’s a young group here, but with my experience, I hope to be a valuable mentor and help guide the team,” he concluded.
