Veteran football administrator Albert Yahaya Commey has landed a new job after leaving his role at Techiman Eleven Wonders.

He has been appointed as the new deputy chief executive officer and sporting director of AshantiGold SC ahead of the coming season.

Commey will deputize for club president's son Emmanuel Frimpong who is the club's CEO and will also take charge of sporting issues after replacing Nana Kwesi Darlington.

The former Hearts of Oak management member joined the Techiman based side in 2019 after similar roles in clubs in the Ghana Premier League.

He left a similar role at Aduana Stars after helping the club lift their second Ghana Premier League title and playing in the CAF Champions and later Confederations Cup.

After two years at the helm of Techiman Eleven Wonders where the club flirted with relegation, he has decided to head for the exit at the club.

The miners ended the 2020/2021 season empty handed after losing the MTN FA Cup finals to Hearts 7-8 on penalties and also finished outside the top four.
