Fiorentina midfielder Alfred  Duncan has revealed that he is not injured as its been purported by some media outlets but has held talks with the head coach of the Black Stars Milovan Rajevac.

According to the player he is not injured and is fit but has clearly communicated with the handler of the team but believes there is some miscommunication somewhere.

He has also hit hard at persons claiming that he has refused a call up to the senior national team saying that if even that was the case he would not have feigned injury before slamming bloggers for the misinformation.

"With Regards to my absence from the national team I spoke with the head coach of the blackstars but there was a miscommunication somewhere AND I didn’t say I was injured. Moreover if I want to refuse a call up I will do so and not by faking injury. Online bloggers academy INT." he wrote on his official twitter handle.

He had been overlooked by the former gaffer C.K Akonnor despite playing for various clubs in the Italian Serie A the last few years.

Duncan was in the summer deemed surplus to requirements at Fiorentina but he is now an integral member of the squad.

The defensive midfielder has played in all six matches for his side starting in 50% of those matches this campaign including last Sunday's 2-1 loss to Napoli.

He is not been called up by the Black Stars for more than a year for reasons best known to the handlers of the national team within that period but will get the chance to prove his worth when Ghana take on Zimbabwe next month.

The Black Stars will take on the Warriors on Saturday, October 12 at the Cape Coast stadium on match day three of the qualifiers before traveling to Harare three days later for the reverse fixture.
