US Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan sees room for improvement despite their impressive start to the campaign.

The Neroverdi have been the surprise package of the ongoing Italian Serie A after picking 19 points to jump to 7th on the league standings.

The Mapei Stadium outfit have won raves of plaudits from football connoisseurs for the style of play deployed by coach Roberto De Zerbi.

The Ghanaian international believes they can build on their impressive start to the season to finish better than last term.

"We started very well but we want to improve and we are aware that we can do it.”

“The signs so far have been good and we must insist on this path,” Duncan told Corriere dello Sport.

“The team wants to do better than last season and I personally aim to improve. In the group there are qualities and we practice a good football, I think all this can repay you.”

Duncan has scored once in 8 appearances in all competitions for the club in the ongoing campaign.
