Hearts midfielder, Daniel Kodie has successfully undergone surgery in South Africa.

The medical team at the Netcare Linksfield Hospital-South Africa led by the experienced surgeon, Dr. McCready completed the surgery for the player on Friday, May 14, 2021.

The player who is recuperating is expected to return to Ghana after a week to continue with his rehabilitation program at the Blue Valley medical Centre.

Hearts of Oak Board member Alhaji Akanbi has been speaking on how the process went in South Africa in an interview with Accra based Angel FM.

"He went to the theater at 9 am and came back after 4 pm and was discharged the same day, We will be going for review till next week before we return to Ghana, I was impressed with the surgery process."

“Staying at home for long will not affect Kodie because the doctors in Ghana did a good job on the boy, so they will not be any complications”
