Veteran football administrator Alhaji Grusah has urged Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo to dissolve the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following the Black Stars' failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Ghana’s disappointing campaign came to an end with a 2-1 defeat to Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium, marking the first time in two decades that the Black Stars have failed to secure a spot at AFCON.

The team finished their qualification campaign with three losses and three draws from six games, a result that has sparked growing frustration with the current leadership of GFA President Kurt Okraku.

In a passionate statement, Grusah criticized the state of Ghanaian football under Okraku’s administration and dismissed concerns about potential FIFA sanctions if the government intervenes.

“I’m calling on President Akufo-Addo and the Sports Minister to dissolve the Ghana Football Association. FIFA will not sanction Ghana for that,” Grusah stated.

The seasoned administrator also expressed his readiness to support any efforts aimed at removing Kurt Okraku from his position, saying, “I will gladly accept and be involved in any attempt to take Kurt out of power."
