The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced a planned one-week break across all its competitions to allow participants to partake in the national General Elections on December 7, 2024.
According to the GFA's calendar for the 2024/25 season, the break will commence after this weekend's fixtures, which include:
- MTN FA Cup Round of 64 games
- Matchday 6 of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League
- Scheduled matches in the Ghana Premier League and Access Bank Division One League
Competitions are set to resume on the weekend of Friday, December 13, 2024.
This announcement serves as a reminder to clubs, match officials, and stakeholders, who were already informed of this planned pause as part of the league fixtures.
The GFA has encouraged all football participants and Ghanaians to fulfill their civic responsibilities peacefully and wishes the nation a successful election.
